Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Northcutt Ventures, LLC D/B/A Level Up Creators (“we,” “us,” “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, on this website (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to understand how people find and use the Site — which pages they read, which links they click, and which paths lead to an enquiry. It is loaded through Google Tag Manager, a tag management service also provided by Google. Google Analytics sets cookies that recognise your browser across visits so these figures can be counted per person rather than per page load.
Google Analytics runs under Google Consent Mode. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, it starts in a restricted state: it sets no cookies and cannot identify you, and sends only aggregated, cookieless signals until you accept through our cookie banner. Outside those regions it starts in its normal state. In either case your choice in the banner overrides the default, and you can change it at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the Site. This service is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not track you across websites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. It reports aggregated, anonymized statistics only, such as the number of visits to a page.
Session Recording and Heatmaps
We use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft, to see how people actually move through the Site. Clarity records site sessions — pointer movement, scrolling, clicks and navigation between pages — and aggregates them into session playback and heatmaps. It records only what happens on this Site: never your camera or microphone, and never your activity in other tabs or on other websites. Text you type into form fields is masked before it leaves your browser.
Clarity is off by default in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and loads there only after you accept through our cookie banner. Elsewhere it follows the same regional default as Google Analytics described above. It runs across the Site, including our interactive tools. If you decline or withdraw consent, Clarity does not load and no recording takes place. For more detail on how Microsoft processes this data, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Functional Local Storage
Our newsletter sign-up prompt uses your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) to remember two things: whether you’ve already subscribed, and whether you’ve already dismissed the prompt, so it doesn’t reappear unnecessarily. A related setting is kept for the current browser session only, to avoid showing the prompt more than once per visit.
This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us or to any third party, and it is not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
We also set one strictly necessary cookie (levelup_show_consent) that records only whether the cookie banner should be shown, based on the general region of your visit. It holds a single yes/no value, does not identify you, and is not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
Your answer to the cookie banner is itself kept in your browser's local storage (levelup_cookie_consent), together with the date you gave it, so we do not ask again on every page. It records only “accepted” or “declined”, expires after 180 days, and is never sent to us or to any third party. Clearing your site data resets it and the banner will appear again.
Third-Party and Advertising Cookies
We use the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a third-party advertising and analytics technology provided by LinkedIn. When enabled, it sets cookies that let us measure the performance of our LinkedIn ads and show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site. The LinkedIn Insight Tag is off by default. It loads and sets cookies only after you accept through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer. If you decline or withdraw consent, the tag does not load and no LinkedIn advertising cookies are set. For more detail on how LinkedIn processes this data, see LinkedIn's Privacy Policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Managing Local Storage
You can clear local storage and site data for this Site at any time through your browser’s settings (usually under Privacy or Site Data). Doing so simply resets the newsletter prompt; it does not affect any information you’ve already submitted to us, which is handled under our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
